FLOWCAL by Quorum Software is the only vendor selected by American Petroleum Institute (API) to develop, support, and distribute the standard and software tools for API’s Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards Chapter 11 - Physical Properties Data, Section 1 - Temperature and Pressure Volume Correction Factors for Generalized Crude Oils, Refined Products, and Lubricating Oils.

This standard establishes a procedure for correcting density measurements at a given temperature and pressure to an equivalent density at base conditions. Because petroleum and petroleum products change hands frequently, volume correction plays a critical role in day-to-day operations.
